My Story

This Summer Tom and I are donning our most flattering tri suits and taking on our first Olympic triathlon. I will also be embracing the chilly waters of Lake Windemere on the 7th June for the Great North Swim, a little 5k dip.

We are doing this to raise money for KD-UK, the UK's only charity which provides research and support for people suffering with Kennedy's disease which our dad was diagnosed with a couple of years ago.

KD-UK support UCL to run research into understanding Kennedy's disease and the development of potential treatments (at the moment there are none). Their efforts to raise awareness of the disease and provide access to critical information has been invaluable to our family.

We want to make sure that more people hear about Kennedy’s Disease and the effect it has on sufferers, carers, family and friends. Any donation, no matter how small means a huge amount to us.
